Senior Legislative Lawyer – Eva Hendricks-Tromp

“I gain energy from bringing people together and combining knowledge and expertise to work as a team on policy development and legislation that is clear, workable, and enforceable.”

Eva has over 15 years of experience in government as a legislative lawyer.

After completing her law degree at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Eva began the Legislative Lawyer Training Program at the Academy for Legislation in 2010, which she successfully completed in 2012. From 2010 to 2020, she worked as a legislative lawyer at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

In 2020, she moved to the Caribbean, where she worked as an all-round legislative lawyer: first for the Public Entity Bonaire and, two years later, for the Ministry of General Affairs of Curaçao.

From 2023 onward, Eva also worked as an advisor on various legislative assignments for interest groups, Members of Parliament, and governments in Aruba and Sint Maarten.

In 2026, by then living in Aruba and inspired by her journey through the Caribbean legislative landscape, Eva decided to establish her own firm in order to work on and for all countries and islands within the Kingdom. This enables her to make optimal use of her extensive and specialized knowledge of the legislative process and the local context in both the European Netherlands and the Caribbean islands.
